supplementing zinc for acne

wouldnt I be better off just eating oysters(canned) 3 or so times a week?

By the way, when you supplemented zinc, did you increase liver intake for copper or, if not, notice any symtoms of excess zinc? Cheers

Yes, go for oysters, alive or uncooked best. Most of the time, the canned oysters come in not-so-good oils, but they're ok as a last resort.

I supplemented with 50g/day for a few years and it helped tremendously.

It's hard to find canned oysters anymore due to the FDA ban on Korean seafood due to human fecal contamination of Korean waters that pulled almost everything off the shelves this past year. Those that are still available I would be wary of. Additionally you do need to be very aware of the oil they are packed in if going with oil-packed. Most are in cottonseed or soybean oil which you obviously do not want. Try to find fresh and/or local if you can.
