Did your penis change?

Answered on September 12, 2014
Created July 13, 2011 at 8:48 AM

It may be an illusion, but did my penis become longer? There was a period in my life where I constantly though about the length of my penis, and was constantly worried. It was also the period were my overall health was worse. Is there a connection?

Centimeters. I can't read the ruler in millimeters because of my poor vision due to years of jerkin' the gurkin, beltin' the bishop, making the bald man cry, churning the nut butter, beating it like it owes me money.

Because there was another post that started as "Never Need Viagra" that morphed into "Hack My Boner" which got deleted. Apart from the obnoxious title, the other post was a legitimate question about the impact of a Paleo diet on the guy's erection. I suppose the material distinction is the use of the word "boner". I think Jack gave you good advice about the joke responses. There is no disrespect intended. It is in our paleolithic DNA to joke about genitals and farts.

I don't see why this question would get deleted. It's a perfectly paleo question. It has been in my head for months now, I've changed my diet a lot this year and saw some penis changes, that's all. I don't see why my age is of any importance, I'm just curious. People seem to think the penis is some kind of rock that doesn't change at all.

I don't understand why the "Hack My Boner" post was deleted and this one stays. Title notwithstanding, they are very similar - two young men asking about their penises (or is it peni ?) vis-a-vis a Paleo diet. I think the dude asking the other question got boned

Well guys this is the newest way to assess CAD disease. It is the best early measure we now have. And low testosterone is now a known risk factor for CAD. We argue lipids here all day. Soon we need to have all men have their T checked. I do it just aboutmon every spine patient I see now

Motion this is a very serious question. I aak about quality of erections now to screen for CAD in surgery patients. And I generally ask the partner. The patient is often unaware of the change. When I ask if they wake up with daily morning erections like they were 17 they laugh and say no one does that all time....I say well that is not true. Then I go deeper and find their T and D is also low and we have uncovered a real issue. This happens at least 25 times a week in my office

Aravind your perception is correct. To take this further there is now data in urology literature that shows prophylactically taking PDE2 inhibitors because it shown to increase GU health and function. This data even shows benefit in men who are normal because it stimulates pathways that we use for function. The more you use these pathways the better your health. This is why I tell all my patients sex is critical to health. The more you have the better it is. The benefit however is conferred best to climatic sex for both sexes. But sex without climax has huge effects on cortisol oxytocin

Doesn't every man's penis get bigger as he gets older? I thought that with every erection the skin gets stretched out just the tiniest bit, and over time that adds up to a noticeable difference.

You are correct in a sense. The healthier one gets the more nitrc oxide synethetase is made in the pudenal artery and in the penis venous system. Your erections will become more firm and you will fully enlarge. This is a relative change to how you once were. There are now many studies that show that erection quality is one of the better predictors of future heart disease. Generally when you notice a change in your penis in 7-9 years you will start to develop evidence of coronary artery disease. So you were not crazy to notice this.

Men with ED can talk to their urologist about the link between heart disease and your johnson. Its huge.

Had to drop that pun in there.

like a few others mentioned, losing weight will give the appearance of penis growth. i know my overall circulation improved once going paleo, so perhaps your diet is allowing for more blood flow to reach your penis whether hard or flaccid, and thus increasing the visual appearance of your penis? i dunno... i'm trying my best to answer this without making a hurtful comment lol

As you lose the visceral fat (the hallmark of the Standard American Diet), your penis will naturally protrude more (which means it's not LONGER, it's just that less of it is hidden inside your viscera). So, for all intents and purposes, it is longer. Congratulations!

The size of my penis, when flaccid, is bigger when eating low carb. If I eat a bunch of sugar, it's smaller. Weird but true. (When erect, there is no difference.)
