How to fight off a fungal/bacterial overgrowth?

I believe I have a fungal overgrowth since I have thrush and a yeast infection and was wondering if anyone could recommend adding anything into my diet.

Right now I'm eating Paleo with 50-100g carbs and no dairy, nuts, or seeds. I'm eating fermented foods and taking a Renew Life probiotic.

Recently upping probiotics has caused my yeast infection to flare up, is this because of die off, is there anything anyone can recommend to apply topically?

I was thinking about taking garlic(whole cloves or tablets) or grape seed extract to help fight whatever I may have off, but I am not sure if it will kill my good gut bacteria along with it.

Thanks

Hahah omg I just assumed it was a girl because we get yeast infections so often. My bad!!! He*** could probably still try some sort of hydrogen peroxide "wash" or mouth rinse. I've read that it can work in the mouth on thrush too!

Dry fasting is known to get rid these kind of things. I made my candida disappear with it.

Being a doctor, I would suggest women who are undergoing treatment for any bacterial infection by using Amoxil and planning to conceive to wait till the infection is completely cured.

Generic Amoxil online

They have a protocol that works - you have to PM Able900 for it. There's no cost and these people are very friendly and helpful. if you don't attack the infection properly, it won't go away and it'll become immune to certain antifungals, so best to do it correctly from the get-go.

Garlic can be effective, but it's better to take whole cloves and not tablets. Apart from that, you need to use topical antibacterials such as aloe vera, you can read here about aloe vera for fungus, coconut oil (as was already mentioned here), lavender oil, tea tree oil etc.

I suspect (but don't know) that I have chronic yeast / candida overgrowth in my gut, and something that works for me is eating a raw clove of garlic once a day. Just chomp it up and swallow it, I chase it with red wine. You need to like garlic, but it totally works for me, settles my stomach, improves digestion, and gets rid of some mild fungal growth that I sometimes get around my ear lobes and toe nails.

If you're a woman, boric acid gelcaps vaginally. Whether you are or not, omit all sugar and aged products like alcohol or vinegar for now.

depends on where the yeast infection is. I've had luck with two fungal infections (not in sensitive areas) by washing them with an exfoliating salicylic acid wash.

Oh and from the research I've done..if you're using natural anti-fungals your natural flora should be ok and just the bad ones will die off. Regardless, as long as you're taking probiotics then the good stuff will be replenished anyways!

I'm currently dealing with the exact same problem. First to get rid of the yeast infection: soak a tampon in a solution of half water and half 3% drugstore brand hydrogen peroxide. IT'S INCREDIBLE. It sounds scary, honestly I researched the shit out of it before doing it because I didn't believe it, but it cured it in a day and a half. I left it in for about half an hour, and did it twice a day. Amaaaaazing. I also started taking 1mg of folic acid once a day because I read that helps with it.

As for the candida, paleo already helps fight that off pretty well. Avoid sugar at all costs. Also try taking anti-fungals, garlic, ginger, and you can research some other things.

Coconut oil is a wonderful topical antibacterial.

I have found garlic to be pretty friendly with the internal gut bacteria.

Get your cholesterol levels checked. If it tests high reduce consumption of coconut oil and butter. Immunity against fungal infection is impaired when you have high cholesterol.
