P90X and Paleo?

I'm fairly new to paleo dieting (3 weeks) but I'm already seeing great results. However, I've been doing P90X for three weeks and I'm wondering if it is bad I work out every day at such a high intensity. I understand this goes against the paleo principle on working out every other day.

I row for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, and race most weekends. I eat paleo, have 10% bodyfat, and feel great. Many paleo gurus recommend less workouts because they're unnecessary. If you're just looking to lean out and look better, you may not need to be at that intensity level.

Still, if you enjoy the exercise, there's no reason (at least, no paleo one) why you shouldn't continue. There are plenty of paleo athletes out there competing at high level, and they're just as "paleo" as you or me.

Of course you wan work out everyday! I workout 2x per day, practically every day of my life.

It's a glycolytic activity, so eat your carbs and you'll be all good.

P90X if good if you enjoy it. If you're doing it for what their marketing promises you AND following a strict Paleo diet, you may actually see "less" results. I say less not because I think P90X is great, but generally any program, done correctly over 3 months will net results. This is especially true with something like P90X which is generally advertised to the 30-something who has "let himself go a bit since the wedding" and wants a quick way to get it back. While he might look better after 3 months, following the recommended P90X diet isn't going to do him any favors once the desire to look like his early 20's goes away. Paleo is much more sustainable and in addition to whatever activity you enjoy can net great results. Better short-term health and better long-term health/physical attributes than anything P90X dreamed of.
