changing work outs

I have been a chronic dieter and cardio bunny for years and recently started lifting weights. I have been a runner for about three years, how do I transition to a better exercise approach? I have about 15 pounds I would like to lose.

If you have a local Crossfit gym in your area, they offer a very good program. It's expensive, but you get good results. If not, Mehdi's 5x5 program is a good alternative.
