Whole30 : digestive problem

Hi everyone!

I decided to do the whole30 challenge for various reasons; change of habits and weight loss being the main ones. Fortunately for me, the whole30 challenge wasn't exactly going cold turkey as I have been eating wholesome, real foods for the past two years. I also have been 95% gluten-free/grain free for almost a year. In sum, for the whole30 my big challenges were cutting out sweeteners, legumes (chili!) and dairy.

It hasn't been too hard, however, I have been having loose stools, foul smelling farts and heartburn like you wouldn't believe. I know most people quit dairy and say that there stomach pains are usually gone, but it seems for me that cutting dairy out has created some form of daily stomach rumbling - bathroom running.

Has any else experienced this? If yes is it possible that my body likes dairy?

Also: I'm healthy, no medical issues (although I have considered hypothyroidism) and I make sure to cook my vegetables properly!

Did you eat yogurt before hand? If so, you may need the bacteria that it provides. Whole30 suggested sauerkraut to supplement the bacteria.
