So this may be a dumb question, but I'd love if someone could shed some light to this question. I lost 20 pounds in the last few months from eating paleo including dairy. In an effort to lose a few extra pounds by Saturday (for a wedding) I heard that cutting out dairy will help you shed a few pounds, so I did so. I am already down 5 pounds from last week and only about 5 from my long-term goal. What exactly have I lost? I understand how people lose mostly water weight when they begin weight loss, but how much still remains when your almost at goal? Any answers would be appreciated. Thank you!

You would have to do a skin fold calipers test to see how much fat you have. If you been working out throughout the paleo diet and your strength been going up it's very unlikely it will be water. It's more likely to be body fat.
