I am about 180Lbs at 5'7. I have been primal for one week now. I have been eating no breakfast an apple for lunch and 2 chicken tenders and half a bowl of broccoli for dinner. I maintained that exact diet for the entire week. I am just curious if I will loose any wait with this regiment.

Keep your carb intake under 100 g/day while feeding yourself all the fat you need in order to stay full. You'll lose weight very quickly that way. As paleot said, if you don't start eating protein, you'll lose tons of weight, it'll just be about 2/3 muscle weight. Check out the link below. It won't be as fast as you'd probably like. You can always add more activity to create a greater calorie deficit. I want to say a 500 daily calorie deficit is pushing it toward the extreme side, which would be limiting yourself to 1500 kcal from the standard 2000 kcal diet. (right now you're not hitting 300 in your description.. haha.) That would be 1lb a week of fat loss, for maybe 20lb loss in a month. You would want to do long periods of raised activity (walking) and short bursts (resistance weights) throughout the day. Keep in mind your weight fluctuates 5lb or more in a day.

The soreness can also come from electrolyte imbalances. If you're used to eating salty snacks all day for years, then suddenly go to living on unsalted meat + veg, you'll be missing out on grams of the stuff your kidneys are probably used to. Maybe keep an eye out for how much sodium your consuming and add more seasonings if it seems low. I like to eat magnesium supplements for good measure. My potassium levels are always fine (if not high), and calcium usually looks good, though on the low side.

If I do that would I still loose weight at a reasonable rate?

Increasing protein should be pretty easy. A lot of us base our meals / snacks around protein, such that it's easy to go overboard on it. The ratio for daily requirements is around 0.8-1.2g * your weight in kg. So, for you, maybe 100g a day would do it. That would be something like 3 eggs with breakfast, a chicken breast with lunch, and a salmon fillet with dinner (with plenty of veg + oil.) You'll want to cook with at least a tablespoon of fat, snack on things like cheese / chocolate / nuts / seeds, and add carbs on top as necessary (up to ~150g.) Look into the perfect health diet.

What can I add to increase my protein I intake. That would explain the sensation of being sore without any exercise. As well as, why wouldn't the body look to my copious amounts of fat for energy.

Without enough carbohydrates or keto adaption, your body will look to protein for glucose. You're not eating enough protein, so you're eating your own muscles for energy, which has slowed your metabolism. Apples and broccoli are catabolic carbs that require more energy to metabolize than they provide. You left out the part where you mention that you cover all your chicken tenders, apple, and broccoli with butter and a side of oil.

I am afraid I don't know what catabolic means. As well as, what should I add to increase my calorie intake.

Yes this is not healthy! You NEED to be eating breakfast...as in eggs and veggies and lots of good fats and/or meats. You can still lose weight, but breakfast is super important...and good fats are super important. It seems as if you aren't getting very much. If you're short on time in the mornings, do Mark Sisson's egg coffee (sounds gross, but it's my staple breakfast...delicious!) http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-egg-coffee/. In fact, his blog is a great start to being primal. If you are trying to lose weight, do some reasearch into a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet. There's lots of info out there...best of luck to you!

2 chicken tenders, an apple, and a cup of broccoli.. that's less than half of the amount of calories I eat in a single meal out of a 3-4 meal day. You haven't been Primal for a week.. you've been catabolic.
