Re-Gain muscle mass or bone loss?

I was very ill and unable to eat or exercise for 3 months. I have never been overweight and always struggled with weight gain. I'm 5' 90lbs. I know that sounds small but have never weighed more than 104 nine months pregnant. I have been able to gain the weight back but none of my clothes fit the same. I'm very concerned and now wonder if I have severe bone loss. Any information or reference would be appreciated.

i have osteopenia from my UC and steroid usage. in 2011, i was bedridden for about 7 months, and 2012 it's been bad since february but i did start exercising again in september. i went from 130 lbs to 84 lbs and i've been able to get back up to 89 lbs since i started paleo (i'm 5'4). it's very easy to gain muscle mass after you've been sick because your body NEEDS it. have you had a DEXA scan? that will tell you if you have bone loss, but that's also easy to fix with weight bearing exercise and a good diet. insurance covered my DEXA scan so i'm not sure how much it would be without insurance. you just have to ask your doctor to order one for you. it's a painless procedure and doesn't take more than 10 minutes.

K2 is probably a good idea to supplement with. Check this thread out: bone health. I think there was a Japanese study on women using 45mg of K2 which helped with bones. I tried finding a link but haven't come up with one yet. You may be able to find reference to it by searching this site- I am pretty sure someone brought it up here, but I can't remember where.
