Like to eat my Back bacon, but hate my back fat.. help?

I'm LOVING paleo! 3 weeks in and I've already dropped 14 lbs, have crazy energy, a healthy libido, no more mid-afternoon exhaustion, and feel like my brain is a brain again! I can think, and produce clear thoughts.. this is saying alot for a mama of 3 that never thought I'd feel 'normal' again. I kept calling it baby-brain, but I can see now that it was my poor diet that was holding me back.

This morning I had 3 pieces of back bacon with eggs, and it was DELICIOUS! Problem is, although I'm enjoying the taste of back fat...I can see that my own back fat or love handles are becoming slumpy and loose and I'm wondering if anyone has some good exercise tips that target that zone?

I'd love to whip into some back fat exercises before I dig into my baby-back ribs!

thanks~!

You can exercise, but exercise isn't going to make your skin tighten up any faster. It just takes time.

Exercise is fine. You just can't target fat with exercise. Try doing a routine like this www.simplefit.org

Let's skip the crazy woo woo ice bath suggestion that may or may not be helpful, but will certainly be agonizing. The rest of your post is spot on.

Fat loss is impossible to target. People are built differently, and everyone carries fat in different places, and will lose it at different times in their weight loss journey. Keep focusing on your diet and leaning out and you'll lose the love handles and back fat.

If you want to improve the appearance of your posterior chain (back, butt, backs of legs), do deadlifts and kettlebell swings. There are hundreds of exercises out there that claim to "firm and tone," but nothing does it as well as basic compound movements.

You don't need exercise, you need patience. There is less fat under the skin, and it takes a while for the skin to tighten up.

You can't "target" fat loss. You lose fat all over your body, and gain it all over.

Your best bet is to cut out the crap from your diet (and my crap I most CERTAINLY don't mean bacon), get more exercise (sprints, weight lifting, or heck just go for a WALK), or even try an ice bath (circa Quilt or 4-hour body style).

But just doing 1 "target" exercise isn't going to do diddly for you.
