In a nutshell, I am trying to gain weight. I am 5'9 and 130 pounds. I'm using Cron-O-Meter and basically need a minimum of 3000 calories a day. It is also telling me however that I should drink 16 cups of water a day... This seems a bit ridiculous, and my concerns are twofold. First of all I feel like all that water might make a lots of the food just pass through without being absorbed, is this concern at all legitimate? Second of all, I feel like when I am peeing completely clear urine all day long, well that just seems like overkill.

Thoughts :) ?

Ive read that you should drink half your body's weight in ounces. So im 102 lbs, i need 51 oz a day. This includes what i get in my food already so actual cups of drinking water is less than that. There is still water in your fruits, veggies, meats so that hydrates you to. Listen to your body though and drink when you need to.
