im 1 week in about 95% complete paleo living and 30 min walk jog every day

hi ive been on this for a week and a half and like i said im eating about 95% or better full paleo. I've been walk/jogging for a few days. I am 305 lbs but you woulden't tell as i am very strong, but still visibly heavy set. I didnt work out for about 2 years and I ate a fairly balanced meal plan but with too many "snacks" in between. I have completely been off sugars breads and dairy for 2 weeks. My question is when should I start seeing results phisically with what I'm doing?

How do you feel? How do you look? 'results' are different for everyone. Sorry to say that, because i hate that response, too, but it's true regardless.

I can eat primally (read, with butter and heavy cream) for a week and experience less brain fog, increased, steadier energy, and less depression. Losing 3.5 pounds is nice but I bet a lot of it is water weight. So, my answer is mostly that it's subjective to the individual.

But really, this is more about health than weight. So.... how do you feel? :)

I think you should strive to lose about 100 pounds, slowly, over the course of a year or so. Diet is a big part of it but you need to exercise too. You might start with walking, relatively long walks, say 30-60 minutes, every day or at least 4-5 times per week, and try to make them fun and interesting, such as at parks or with friends. Keep your carbs down and try to eat lots of protein and the right kind of fats. You should see some weight loss starting after a few weeks of this. Many people find that really restricting carbs for a while (say 1-2 months) really helps at first, though that only lasts for a while, so if you do that, definitely plan on increasing carbs a little after about 2 months.

To keep it going and to lose more weight you will have to do something that involves working out your large muscles. This could be body weight exercises like squats, lifting, kettlebells, etc. But that can all wait a few months until you get into better shape and start to feel the benefits of losing weight and fat. Losing weight can be incredibly energizing, because when you burn the fat you are always in an energy surplus and will be eager to burn it off. Good luck!
