I rarely track calories as it's boring and I like to eat for life.
However, as I've been eating well but not losing the 30 pounds I want to lose I just fed all the data into a calories tracker.
My basal metabolic rate is 1400 calories a day and I need to take in 1680 calories a day to stay the same weight. To lose 2 pounds a week I need to be 1000 calories a day less than that i.e. 680 calories a day - i.e. impossible death like miserable tiny number. No wonder it is so hard for some of us to lose any weight at all.
Yes, I will go and look at all the past helpful paleo weight loss threads. I was so hungry tonight and fed up at that logical but impossible set of figures, I had 80g of raisins which will hardly have helped. If I try fasting my mood gets so bad I wish I weren't around and ditto if I have no carbs. Why did I ever let the extra weight creep on again?
I am certainly not going to bother to track the calories again.
