3 weeks in & weight loss has stopped!! HELP

I've been doing paleo strictly with no cheats for 3 weeks and my weight loss has stopped. The first 2 weeks I lost 7 pounds and I'm thrilled with that but I'm started to get nervous. Is this typical??

I eat a little fruit, almonds, no dairy and lots of meat & veggies.

I work out 2-3 times per week but my schedule has been a little crazy this past week could this be my issue??

I have been eating as I want lately and not exercising much (I'm on vacation :P). I have been eating between 1200 and 2000 calories per day, naturally. Some days I "need" less food, others I want more goodies :p So far I've stabilized at about 5 lbs heavier than I was, and I'm okay with that, for now :p

mini plateaus are common. Check back in a couple weeks if things stay the same. The body prefers homeostasis, so there will usually be a brief pause in weightloss as it tries to adjust. If the pause lasts more than a couple weeks, then we can analyze the reason.

If you are even remotely active, 1500 kcal per day will maybe your body go into more of a starvation mode, reducing your metabolic rate. Eat to fuel your body, and your hormones will begin to regulate the rest.

yeah u can do it. One tip i got is that the legs are the largest muscle group in the body, so focus on working them a lot during training to promote maximum fat loss! So lots of squats and leg presses! Cardio to a minimum...also there is a short video on youtube by Elliott Hulse called plan to lose belly fat forever which gives great diet advice and inspired me a lot ! :)

In my case, both weight loss and "size" loss have stalled... I'm merely maintaining, which would be just fine, except I'm not happy with the fatty layer I currently carry around my mid-section... I'm going to try to pay closer attention to my macros and set them at 20/20/60 carb/pro/fat. We'll see how this turns out - I was eating 100-200 g of carbs each day, so lowering that to 50-100 should show me some results... I'll also be limiting my calories a bit (mostly by eliminating most fruit, which will also limit my carbs) dropping from about 1800 per day to about 1500 per day.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for myself (as well as picking up those weights :p ) and I hope you find somethin that works for you.

Stop relying on the scale, 'weight' is not an accurate measure of if you're getting healthy. There are a near infinite amount of confounding factors that can affect your weight in both directions.

The first thing my gym instructor taught me was to change my fitness regine every couple of weeks and make it a little tougher every couple of weeks too! This should stop your body getting used to the exercise you are doing and promote more weight loss!

Do you have body fat to burn/lose also??
