Vitamix too much carbs/sugar for weight loss on paleo? Better recipes?

I'm thinking of getting a vitamix and checking out some recipes and it looks like all the smoothies have a lot of fruit and thus sugar in it. I am currently not eating fruit as trying to do less than 50 carbs a day for weight loss. The green juices all seem pretty much the same and with some lime and lemon juice in it but I am concern it tastes nasty and also may have a lot of carbs added in.

What is the opinion of a vitamix when trying to lose weight via very low carb? Good or bad?

Any good recipes would be appreciated too.

Are you only getting the vitamix for making smoothies?

I have a Blendtec (sister to the Vitamix) and my favorite thing to make with it is soups. Here is their soup recipe collection:

My favorites are the tortilla soup (basically carrot, bell pepper, avocado, onion, and throw some cooked chicken in after), and the curried cauliflower soup. Such a simple meal.

You can taste neither spinach or kale when put in a vitamix, so you can go wild with them! Also you could try adding dark chocolate or cinnamon to the vegetable mixes, so it makes them taste sweeter!

No fruit recipe: 2 handfuls of spinach, a handful of cilantro, some ice, water to desired consistency. I like the fresh taste of this smoothie on days when I don't want fructose. Cilantro is also a detoxifier.

I love my Vitamix but it's easy to overdo the fruit.
