Stress/Crossfit/Paleo

I know that we hold onto the fat if we are stressed and I am. I joined Crossfit a couple of weeks ago. In following Paleo and Crossfit will I still lose the inches even though I live a life of stress or am I doomed to hold onto it all?

Thanks

Honestly, it sounds like you need to learn to "let go" in more than one way. Yes, you'll likely continue to lose some weight, if you eat right and exercise. However, what are you doing to yourself? Stress ruins life - get a handle on that first, in my humble opinion.

Good luck - I've been there myself.

As a night shift nurse, I hear ya. My answer would be just to do the best you can do given your circumstances (which we know aren't ideal). In my case, I'm often dealing with sleep deprivation, and it can get in the way big time. Often I try to push it through my workouts in that state, and it doesn't go well. Sometimes I need to take extra recovery days.

Learn to listen to your body. Mark Sisson says that daily exercise can actually be great for stress, but you probably shouldn't be doing a super high intensity workout 6 days a week. Crossfit could be this for some people, but if you really love the format, go for it. It just might be better to have some more chill exercise days doing stuff outdoors that you enjoy.
