i will occasionally have a sweet treat, ice cream or something... i would say i eat 90% paleo... old eating was a lot of processed junk... i would like to be MORE active... right now just running 3x's a week for about 20 minutes and then 25 minutes of waling on an incline...

I agree on the dried fruit and nuts. I would also recommend more veggies.

sounds like a lot of nuts, "paleo-ized" dressings, and a lot of butter. Quick question, where did the left over steak come from?

I would look at limiting your dried fruit intake as well. Some people have trouble losing weight when they eat nuts, I would look at cutting them out until you hit your weight goal.

How to Lose weight:

  1. Calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure.
  2. Calculate the calorie intake of your daily menu you listed above.
  3. If you're not getting a deficit of about 300-400 calories reduce the amount of food you eat.

Also if I was you I would swap your eggs in olive oil to eggs in 1/2 tablespoon of butter. CUT out the nuts!!! A handful a couple times a week imho is ok but not a 1/2 cup at 8:30pm

april, your diet really looks perfect to me- high in protein and fat. seems really odd that you wouldn't lose weight. what kind of diet did you have previously? also, you mention that you aren't following paleo 100%- what are you eating that isn't?

the only thing i would definitely cut out is dried fruit since it is SUPER high in carbohydrates. just go for fresh fruit if you want to eat it.

are you physically active?
