I'm a 16 year old girl, im about 6 feet and 180 pounds and im looking to lose as much weight as possible, as I want to be a victoria secrets model and I'm also a pescatarian. I don't know if the paleo diet will hurt my developmental progression in any way... also im not fat now but i just don't have the body for a runway. Now i try to eat like 1200 calories a day and i love milk :( help.

Paleo is not going hurt your development, but a 1200 calorie/day diet will.

Ok, if you're a pescatarian, you can still follow paleo. It's quite easy :)

It's always good to have ambition, and you're certainly aiming for something, so I applaud that.

If anything, the Paleo diet will further your development, as you'll be eating the way your body naturally should.

First off the block, is to determine your BMR. Throwing numbers into a generic calculator give a BMR of 1720. So, with no exercise being done, that's roughly a 2100 calorie intake in order to maintain your current weight.

What you need to do for the next 4 days is take your temperature in the evening. You'll want to see how your body's temperature is, as this will dictate as to how much of a metabolic slowdown has happened if you've already been dieting. Write down each temperature and then average it out. If the average lies between 98.1 - 98.6, you're good to rock & roll. Any lower, and you'll need to eat a bit more to bring your temperature back into check.

Then next step after that is what you will eat. Obviously, you've said you love milk. No biggie, give it a month without milk and see how you feel. If you REALLY desire it, then have it, but only in moderation. There are plenty of Paleo substitutes out there :)

I've always said this to girls I speak to, and I think a lot will agree with me here... Lift. Lift lift lift lift lift. It is a physical impossibility for women to gain the type of muscle that female bodybuilders have. If anything, when you gain muscle, you'll look 100 times better than some of those models.

If you're not an active person, I recommend either a high fat Ketogenic diet, or perhaps even a High Protein, Moderate Fat... either way, both low carb. (I'll probably cop flak for the other suggestion, but it does work with no ill effects).

Feel free to ask more if you need to :)

I wrote an article just the other day about a pescatarian Paleo diet: http://eugenia.queru.com/2013/01/10/tips-for-a-somewhat-vegetarian-paleo-diet/ with tips on how to make the most out of it.

Akilah - The others covered the diet portion very well; however, on top of that I would recommend light lifting (sit-ups, boxing, leg lifts, air squats, working with bands, etc.) and a workout along the lines of yoga. I know that's what the VS models do when they are working with their trainer. These movements help sculpt their body on top of having a healthy diet. You can google it if you want, but I saw this on a TV special years ago. Good luck with your aspirations!
