Losing weight fast, plus PCOS symptoms seem to be getting worse - any idea why?

Hi everyone! This is my first question on here, although I've been lurking and reading the messages for quite some time now...

I started the Paleo diet back in September as I wanted a natural way to treat PCOS - my doctor diagnosed me with it since my husband and I have been trying unsuccessfully for a baby.

I had pretty bad acne that has definitely cleared up, along with lots of joint and bowel troubles that have all now gone, so paleo is definitely doing me some good...

BUT!! I have dropped an awful lot of weight in the last couple of months and while I was pleased about it at first, I'm starting to wonder if its not healthy. I WAS a 34 inch bust, 27 inch waist and 37 inch hips (I'm 5'2")... I'm now a 30 inch bust, 24 inch waist and 35 inch hips - the slimmest I've ever been. As a fitness instructor I do a LOT of exercise for a living, and right now I literally look like a bodybuilder I'm so lean and vascular - I've gone beyond 'nicely toned' to being ripped - even strangers comment on my muscles!

I didn't have regular periods in the first place (maybe 2 a year) and I'm still not getting them, but whats bothering me is I'm getting MORE facial hair - I've always had awful ones on my chin but now its up the sides of my face too, I'm having to pluck it out!

I'm wondering if my hormones are even further out of whack now my bodyfat is so low? And if so, what should I do?! I'm eating more than I ever have in my life and getting leaner and more 'manly' by the day! :( I just want to be able to have kids, and it just feels like its never going to happen at this rate...

Anybody know what the problem might be? I've started eating sweet potatoes and plantains as sources of carbohydrate a couple of times a week, but generally a typical meal (3x a day) might be steak, kale and aubergine, or scrambled eggs with tomatoes and broccoli, or beef casserole and fried cabbage (mmm I LOVE fried cabbage!)... Basically protein (usually fried in coconut oil) + 2 types of veg has been the protocol and the occasional apple and/or macadamias as a snack. I'm rarely hungry and if I am, I eat! I'm far from starving myself!

Funny you should mention beef tallow, I just bought a jar last week! I found that when I added a few more carbs I stopped looking quite so ripped, but if I cut them out again the weight falls off within a week. A handy trick to know for if I ever want to lose weight! The PCOS symptoms are still as bad but I'm now being seen to by the hospital - turns out I have endometriosis too plus a host of other problems lol! I think the paleo thing does help though :D

Try animal fats to cook your food (beef tallow, lard, bacon grease), start with 3 generous tablespoons.

What kinds of fats do you eat?

I do feel like I'm eating loads of fat as I'm frying just about all my meals but thankyou, thats a great idea to actually count calories. Its a wierd idea to think that someone can be not eating enough without being hungry!

Are you getting enough fat in your diet?

And if you are, have you actually counted calories for a few days to see how much you are really eating?

I find that my appetite is really surpressed if I'm not eating many carbs. I was shocked to find out at one point that I was only eating 900 calories some days, and averaging out at about 1000, which is TOO LOW! I just wasn't hungry. Too few calories can mess with your thyroid, and that can set off a cascade of other hormone issues. If you have too few calories, try upping the fat to increase the nutrition density.
