How much have you lost and how much do you have to lose? I took 90lbs off in 3 years, going from about 240 to 145-148. 10 years later (hit goal in 02) it is still off, plus an additional 18lbs lost over the last 1.5 years, for a total of about 108lbs. Slow is good. Go slow. Learn what you need to learn. Practice maintenance NOW. Realize that whatever you are doing now to LOSE the weight, you will need to continue to do for LIFE to maintain that weight loss.

"Calories count for some foods". Really? Some foods? Either they do or they dont! (But they do)

Limit the nuts for sure. I never make nuts the focus of any meal/snack - only ever a very small part of it apart from the occasional baked almond meal treat.

What quantity of nuts are you eating? When you say 'made progress' are you still making progress or have you stalled? Slow weight loss is always best and easiest to keep off.

A cup a day! Thats well over a 1000 caloris. No wonder your stalling. Nuts have a lot of 06. Calories do count for some foods. I would say switch out the cup of nuts for another pound of meat.
