Good 1st Self Experiment?

I have been eating a paleo diet for about a year now, and have not only plateaued in any weight loss, but I am also getting pretty consistent headaches now. I definitely am a little more slack now than I was at the beginning, so I know the problems are coming from something I shouldn't be eating/drinking in the first place, but I'm not quite sure where to start. I also think some of my lack of progress could be from stress, so that's in the mix as well. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to how to start the self-experiment process. What should I do first?

The Whole30 may be a great place for you start. The long and the short of it is you eliminate foods for 30 days then slowly start to reintroduce them after the 30 day period to see if reintroduction causes a return of your symptoms. So for 30 days you are on a VERY strict Paleo diet.

Thanks, so should I go strict for about 30 days and if I am still experiencing the same issues, start eliminating? I'm just a little confused as to where to start.

Read "It Start's With Food" It's by dallas an melissa hartwig (the people responsable for Whole9 and Whole30). If you want to know where to start that is the spot

I'd say do an elimination diet at least 30 days, and then try introducing things ONE AT A TIME to see what's bothering you. Maybe try a Whole30 for some motivation and support?

How about an elimination diet? This would give you the opportunity to see if dietary indiscretions are causing your headaches, it may break the plateau as well.

I agree with the Whole 30. Also, it might be a good idea to keep a food diary for a week or two, to see if you can figure out what causes your symptoms.
