weight gain after paleo for 3.5 years?

Hi Everyone,

I've been paleo for about 3.5 years and over the last 6 months I've steadily been gaining weight. I am 68.5" tall and I went from a 29" waist to a 32" waist and 37.5" hips to 40" hips. I don't know my weight. Needless to say, this means my bodyfat content is rising. I haven't changed any of my habits, so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this after being paleo for a long time. Does the weight loss effect wear off after a while? Is it possible that your body gets "used to" the diet and you need to "level-up" to keep the weight loss going?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think gaining weight now is anything to do with whether you've eaten paleo for 3.5 years...

I don't know why you've gained weight, other than that something's changed... Habits, hormones, age related factors, lifestyle (all these can interesct...) Regularly eating over BMR for a reasonable period will preipaite weight gain; in my view perhaps you could benefit from reconsidering this as being possible..

Just because you don't believe in calories, doesn't mean they aren't going to fatten you up when you eat too much.
