Why are some responses and comments to not showing?

I have written some comments or tried viewing other people's comments and sometimes I notice they disappear randomly. It still says "Show Comment" but for some reason when I click it nothing happens. Is this the intended behavior or a bug? I thought it was when someone wrote a bad word, but it's happened with clean comments as well. Is there a rule to this? Please advise.

did you actually mean 'bad' words. a bad word filter will not reduce spam.

Daz - thanks for the help. I did the test as you suggested. I must have removed whatever it was, though I've posted much more crude things and have never seen the message before...it'll make for some interesting word play with all the poop threads that will tend to kick around?

I fell off the wagon...went off the rails...went bat shat crazy...I craved anything carbs...I wanted chips, pop, all the fried chickens...potato scallop for days..I would have sold a kidney for some peanut M&Ms...I bought some fried chicken, ate 5 pieces and felt full in the way I did eating SAD..but I was NOT satiated..I wanted more...MORE..and that was when something in me broke, I got so disgusted with how my mind was spinning it's wheels, that I ate almost an entire package of cream cheese with some pepperoni slices...I went from full, to gross in about 20 minutes...

My first n=1 I tried doubling my carbs to a little over 40 grams using 2 small bananas after a workout. I wanted to take things slow to monitor any changes. I felt a little odd and was bloated a bit the next day. I tried again two weeks later. I upped the carbs to over 60, 2 bananas, rice (100 grams). I felt pretty much the same as the first attempt, but my sleep was very poor, I felt, anxious while sleeping and decided the next day that I would wait 3 weeks and deplete my stores, try and border when my rash would start to reappear...at least, that was the plan.

I tried it a couple of months ago because I'm prone to keto rash. I was looking to get rid of it after having it hang around for easily a month or more, and upping the carbs is suppose to improve your gym results.

if you want to find out which bit of your text was the issue & have the time/inclination.

create a new answer or answers under this post (or a new question under Meta) as a test & keep pasting text in, till you get the "Your answer was submitted, and will be reviewed by a moderator before being visible to all users" message.

i was bored once and narrowed mine down to one word

editing will Not work. once it's 'blocked' (flagged) it's blocked.

you need to add a new answer/comment. just try & add it without the suspect word or words.

I tried to edit my comment..took out anything I thought would give it a PG or PG-13 rating..didn't seem to help...I've been NC-17'd and I don't know why.

Seriously, I'll have to go back through and read what I wrote...which I just did...I swore once...the S word (Jr. High just called) but other than that...not sure what I would have said....teach me your ways so that I may once again, give advice that's mediocre at best...

Hi folks. I believe David and the other admins turned on the bad words filter a few weeks ago. There had been some spam and it's likely that the list is a bit too sensitive right now. I'm sure they're monitoring it and will clear things up.

It took me a LONG time to feel normal again...CKD is not for me, I can get up to about 50 grams of carbs I've come to discover, but for at most a 72 hrs...more than that and I get moody, my eating window starts to get longer, and my eyes start wondering, trying to remember through sight what a double chocolate dipped glaze donut tasted like.

I didn't go to the gym again for weeks...my cravings were still out of whack, my energy was all over the road, my sleep had become poor, and every time I thought about anything in the chips family or extended family, I'd drink a pint of whipping cream.

Don't hold your breath on waiting for someone to 'allow' any blocked answers or comments...I do not believe that any moderators are even being alerted when an answer is submitted and receives the "Your answer was submitted, and will be reviewed by a moderator before being visible to all users" message. Let alone have the tools to check and allow that answer (or comment).

I actually know one word that causes this 'issue', & i can easily replicate, i just put the 'magic' word in an answer under this thread, which as you can see (not), that answer is not visible ie. there is one answer missing in this thread. also i'll add a comment under this answer containing 'the word', & that comment will be hidden...... > did any moderators get alerted...? i'm guessing not.

CD - I posted a responce 9 hrs ago that's waiting to be "verified"...I'd like an answer as well because if I now have to wait to have my responces "monitored" it would easily turn me off PH.

I understand if it's a measure of sifting out spam, but otherwise..Boooo!
