water and eating

i remember when i lived in india and occasionally ate with the locals at lunch - they all abstained from water while eating - at first this was tough because it was so spicy - later i realized this could be a good idea

also fasting w/o water for a day apparently may help to get those toxins out since water dilutes the toxin excretion

and what got me onto the fast was also in india - 3 days food poisoning - no food just water and i never felt better in my life - as well as one of the locals who would always give his lunch to one of the beggars around about on mondays - made me think - if we all stopped eating on mondays - how much food would be saved and then there are the benefits of fasting too

anyway - if you think on - paleo man would probably have a stream nearby and may not have had any cops - so quite possibly s/he would eat the meat at the first and then go and wash his face and hands and have a drink afterwards in the stream

seems like an interesting thing people should try since water apparently may quench the stomach acids breaking down the food

When I started eating this way, I had big trouble digesting. My chest would hurt, and my stomach would have sharp pains. These could be more severe issues that worked themselves out naturally. But, I did find that abstaining from water during meals aided in digestion tremendously.

Now, I drink 1.5 liters of water first thing in the morning. Waiting an hour or two to eat. To eventually drink around another liter 2 hours after I eat. It has helped out a bunch! With digestion, and with food cravings.
