Where can one buy bulk walnuts?

I have been buying in-shell walnuts from the grocery store, but they are usually rather bitter. I can buy shelled walnuts from a local health food store, but they are expensive. Would anyone know a website where I could buy bulk walnuts that are not very bitter? By bulk I mean anything over 5 pounds. Thanks.

Nuts.com (seriously). Though I cannot speak for their quality of walnuts, other nuts are good.

I get mine from Costco.

You could also try searching for "bulk wallnuts" on amazon.com

That's good to know. How big are the bags at costco? Do you know how much the price is per pound?

I had to research this.

- nuts.com is 5.99/lb, but you have to buy 25 lbs, and there is shipping

- costco is 6.67/lb, have to buy 6 lbs

- my food coop is 7.5/lb, but only on Tuesday when members have discounts

every other source is $10/lb or more.
