Is pie the missing word?

I dont have a recipe for walnuts or pecans.... I let the trees do all the work, then I come and take the nuts. :)

Either is delicious as a nut butter. Just dump a pound or so of the nuts in a food processor for a few minutes, until the the processed goop has the consistency of peanut butter. Delicious slathered on sweet potatoes, spread on top of fish (mahi especially), or eaten with a spoon (or fingers).
