Lo carb paleo - carbs vs. net carbs?

For those of you who are LC paleo, are you counting actual carbs or net carbs? I'm working on cutting down on carbs, but still usually wind up around 115g/80 net a day and just trying to get a benchmark.

Thanks for the responses. I've been stuck at a plateau with my weight loss for a bit and I think I need to continue lowering my fruit intake and boost up on the veggies and protein.

I personally use Livestrong's Daily Plate to input everything I eat. It has pretty much every food indexed to make it easy. Then to track net carbs, I just subtract fiber from total carbs.

Net Carbs.

Fiber has no effect on insulin response, ergo no need to bother counting it.

If you go by Mark Sisson's Primal Blueprint, his Carb Curve is based on total carbs. 115g based on that would be in the "maintenance" range, up to 150g.

I've stopped caring about carbs personally though. Never logged and measured them even when I was low-carbing (just estimated in my head).

Probaby a silly question, but still new in this paleo world. How do you track total carbs vs. Net carbs? And what are you eating to decrease the total?

I don't count carbs. I simply avoid eating starch, and I'm fine. The fruits I do eat, in the amounts I eat, don't mess me up like starch does. My daily carb intake is probably around 100-150 grams.

Total carbs here as well. I don't avoid veggies at all but do count them against my total. I don't think I've ever eaten enough broccoli or red cabbage to affect my total carbs tho...

At the end of the day I look at my total carbs. Usually if I stay with primarily veggies and maybe a couple squares of dark chocolate I am easily under 90g with probably 30-40g coming from fiber.
