so i have a question for you guys,
after trying everything under the sun..the only things that have helped my stools are sauerkraut (mildly) and vitamin c (majorly). if i mix in 1100 mg of vit c in water and drink it over 20 minutes then i have great stools for a few days.
is there any significance in this? it seems like in a healthy person this would induce diarrhea?
is this okay to do longterm?

This is typical for vitamin C. The amount you have to take depends on the person. Your tolerance to C is on the low end.

This is not typical. Its typical to get laxtaive effect between 4-15g for most people.
You can do that indefinetly in much larger doses, and you will probably adapt to that dose in few months.
It either means you are xtremely healthy, not very likely, or that you don't tolerate ascorbate very much, which is, in your case, good thing as ascorbate must not be absorbed to produce laxative effect.
