This is probably a stupid question, but I'm a little confused about something my naturopath recommended for me.
I recently started taking fermented cod liver oil (Green Pasture brand) and I found that it helped clear up my skin quite a bit. I do still have a few blemishes here and there, and the texture of my skin isn't totally smooth yet. My ND recommended that I add mixed carotenoids to my supplements, because it is not pre formed vitamin A and will be stored in my skin instead of my liver. I was a little confused by this statement. It seems kind of strange to me to take carotenoids when I am already taking pre formed vitamin A. I already take too many expensive supplements, so I only want to take this if it will really help. Anyone have any insight?
