Can Vitamin D deficiency be fixed during summer?

Once summer comes and I spend more than an hour outside in the sun a day, will my Vitamin D levels be able to normalize faster than through supplementation? Or does it take a long time? I also was taking these mega doses of 50,000 Iu of vitamin d a day, and almost think that even though my body needed it, it was too much and not a natural form like sunlight that it threw other vitamins and minerals out of balance

Not sure about your vitamin levels, but spend more time outdoors!
