Best Vitamin D3 supplement on the market?

Never taken a Vitamin D supplement but I wanna start now that winter is around the corner and there's less sunlight overall -- and even when there is sunlight, it's too damn cold to sunbathe.

I've had seasonal depression or winter blues in the past before and I'd like to avoid the lethargy this winter. Does anyone know what the strongest and most cost-effective bang for your buck Vit d3 supplement is I can purchase? If I'm gonna be shelling money out on a supplement, I want to get the very best. Ive seen some Vit D3 supps out there, but many of them contain soybean or sunflower oil, which Id rather avoid unless absolutely necessary.

I don't like liquid form so I buy Country Life. 5000 IU, 200 Softgels, MCT.

My fave is Carlsons Solar D Gems. Cheap on Amazon and what I recommend to my nutrition clients.

No idea how to verify which is best. From what I know there is a limited amount of manufacturers making vitamins so your choices are actually small. I've used Source Naturals and Doctors Best D3.
