I took some blood today to test for my Vitamin D status but i think i messed it up...

I've been taking Green Pastures' CLO. Could that somehow mask my real blood serum values?

Also, do i need to fast before taking a Vitamin D test?

Why would you take CLA supplements? Certainly not because it is supported by evidence (it is not). I guess you like to gamble.

It does not appear that that's the case. The test is 25(OH)D, the D you're taking is cholecalciferol. They're two different substances.

Yeah i'm aware of that. I'd just like to know if taking Vitamind D temporarily raises the blood levels in a way that it masks the true Vitamin D level.

CLO contains vit D so it should raise your blood levels.

It's definitely not messing it up, but it would be increasing your levels. If you're in a good range, then great! Unless you're megadosing vitamin D right before the test, there's no problem with that. Since vitamin D is fat-soluble your levels will maintain longer than most vitamin levels.

Fasting is not necessary.
