Video to help Child understand Paleo?

More importantly I'd like a video that a child can understand that explains Gluten/Wheat problems and a child friendly version of " the bitter truth"

leaky gut, insulin, phytic acid, lectins etc

Edit: anyone have anything yet to help me pre ending my kid from cheating when I'm not with her? I'm not above scare tactics at this point

She sees her weight loss, and sees clearing of allergies, sick etc.. But when she cheats they don't instantly return so she thinks it ok

Her mood and attitude change Immediately

Hopefully that's dumbed down enough for America to grasp, and specifically addresses anti nutrients. Until anto nutrients are addressed in a big way everywhere, paleo is a fad diet. That is dissapointing on so many levels

Agreed. No issues getting them to eat tasty fats. Need someone else clearly showing the negative connection ad dads talk of anti nutrients goes whoosh over the head...

Excellent question. If there is none, we will have to make one. =) The "Paleo in a Nutshell" series is pretty good, but I haven't watched it in a while and don't remember how appropriate it would be for little kids.

There's a very promising documentary in the works called "In Search of the Perfect Human Diet" by CJ Hunt, which I'm waiting for on pins and needles. I think it has the potential to encompass the entire message.

This documentary series bypasses common contradictory dietary bias and the recycling of confusion by filming interviews and explorations with many of the world's top scientists and researchers in the fields of archaeological science, paleo and forensic anthropology, nutrition and metabolism, biomolecular archaeology, and the emerging field of human dietary evolution.

According to the website, the Ancestral Health Society, Robb Wolf and Loren Cordain are all supporting the project. Here's hoping CJ can get post-production wrapped up in 2010!

Fathead is a good movie to help kids understand the carbs vs. fat issues, but it doesn't get into gluten, lectins, etc. at all.
