I remember getting a video link from a comment here on paleohacks about a whole scientific lecture of ruminant dung converting desert land into healthy grasslands. Can anyone help me out? or send me in the direction of whats its called? or scientific evidence?

I would really appreciate it!

ves, lets see it implemented and its not only about letting animals eat grass.. its about letting the animals migrate. Exclusive plant-eaters have a point and we would have remained ignorant without their criticism towards the corporations which are destroying our planet. We need to work together on what is morally correct and not waste time and energy fighting about our pesky differences.

Incidentally, I think this kind of agriculture is the answer when people accuse meat-eaters of destroying the planet.

Don't know that the governments will be much help, but I wish they were watched by more people that buy food.

Try the work of Allan Savory/holistic management. One lecture is here: http://www.feasta.org/events/general/2009_lecture.htm

Some additional video links: http://www.savoryinstitute.com/2013/02/resources/video-library/

The top video on this page is a great video out somewhere on the use of goats by Chaffin Family Orchards. In their case, the goats do weed control, but they discuss the same principles...how grazing properly improves the land. An Allan Savory video -- and several others on restorative grazing -- are further down the page, along with permies forum discussion.
