Laying off the vegetables and feeling great

I know this question has probably been asked plenty of times in some form.

Over the past week we ran out of dark greens in our house and I haven't been motivated to go get any more so I've been with out them for about 5 or 6 days.

I feel really good...All I've really been eating are potatoes, coconut oil, olive oil, and various meats.

does anybody have and input/experiences with this? I know nightshades give some people trouble but aren't potatoes nightshades? Could it be possible that I'm always overdosed on vitamin K or A when I eat dark greens?

*could it be pesticides, herbicides, other toxic stuff?

Potatoes are just supplying the amount of carbs that make you feel good. It's ok to lay off greens from time to time. Wouldn't Grok do that? :-) Try some sweet potatoes though, they are better for you and provide a good amount of micro nutrients.

I have heard of people who get a paradoxical folate deficiency from eating leafy greens. Freddd, an internet expert on B12 and related vitamins, has written about this extensively (across several comments) on Chris Kresser's B12 thread here: http://chriskresser.com/b12-deficiency-a-silent-epidemic-with-serious-consequences

Potatoes are nightshades, while sweet potatoes/yams are not.

Since I almost eliminated vegetables, my gut felt much better. I get my carbs from sweet potatoes and little berries. Sometimes, I get very little cooked veggies in generous amounts of fat.

Never felt better. No more bloating, more energy. So far so good.
