How many cups of veggies per day?

The original paleo/primal pyramid had veggies at the bottom. This means that veggies made up the greatest volume of daily intake. How many cups of veggies raw or cooked do you eat per day?

See I think that's the tricky part. On big tator days (like lots of working out) the rest of my veggie intake drops to maybe 1-2 servings.

4 - 6, more if I'm really dialed in.

I don't really measure mine, but I'll usually have a medium-sized salad with my lunch. Sometimes I'll also have stew with cooked vegetables in it for lunch/dinner. I'll usually have cooked white potatoes or sweet potatoes at dinner (if you consider those vegetables).

For non-starchy vegetables, I'd say just include a variety in your diet - doesn't have to be too much. If you like them, have more. If you are trying to lose weight and you find they help with satiety, have more.

For starchy vegetables, be thoughtful about your carb needs based on your body, your activity level and your goals.

if you count leafy salad greens, then easily 1lb. minimum per day of just those - add in at least another 5 cups worth of other non-starchy veg.

I do go through phases of eating nearly no veg at all, but feel better with TONS of leafy greens daily. Like those 1lb. tubs of mixed baby greens...mmmmm :) Not cost effective at all, I'm setting up to grow my own microgreens this weekend actually.
