Could cooked vegetables be compared to vegetables in an animal stomach?

I digest much better vegetables that are cooked than raw. Could it be that we are not adapted to eat raw vegetables but just adapted to eat "prepared" vegetables from an animial stomach? So therefore cooked vegetables are better for us then raw?

I've read that some native americans used to eat the intestines from freshly killed animals. It was sort of an eating race, one person at each end. (I sure hope I am remembering this correctly!)

Or... maybe we're adapted to eating cooked vegetables. :)

Olives and avocados are not vegetables, they are fruits!

What about avocados? I'm experimenting with them. Olives are next.

I've heard folks refer to the veggies in animal's digestive tracts as being fermented rather than cooked. I think cooking is fine, but fermenting may be optimal

I also have much less trouble with cooked veggies, but I don't know the scientific answer. I'm fond of raw veggies with oil & vinegar & celery salt but I do pay a price.
