I know that sugar snap peas are technically a legume but in the whole 30 book it starts with food they say sugar snap peas are ok. Are they just ok or they actually considered good on the paleo diet?

They're probably okay in moderation, as long as you tolerate them well. The phytate content is low and the lectins aren't as bad as those found in some other legumes. Here's more info: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/are-peas-and-green-beans-healthy/#axzz2AEpiWhEv

I think they're okay. You tend to eat the entire pod, not just the peas inside. They're not a frequent snack for me, but once in a while I have them.

I think I heard Robb Wolf say on a podcast once that he considers them more pod than bean.

I have found that peas, string beans, and peanuts seem to work ok for me. None of them are a huge part of my diet, but I would not avoid them (i.e. I still get kung pao flounder if we go out to get chinese!)
