Has anyone switching from vegan or vegetarian experienced being really hot?

I am normally cold in an air condition room and am experiencing being very hot. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this when they started eating meat. Is there a way to cool off short of going naked? I am very uncomfortably hot?

I do eat fairly low carb as I have never been a huge fan of fruit.

If you went naked, I'm pretty sure you'd only get hotter. But if you go paleo, be prepared to be smoking.

It's called thermogenesis, and an increase in protein will do that to you. I feel flushed on days that I eat a lot of eggs and meat.

EDIT: The effects of high protein diets on thermogenesis, satiety and weight loss: a critical review.

Sounds like it's your thyroid restoring function or something.

Probably due to your thyroid because you get more iodine (&selenium) than before. I don't think there is much you can do. Iodine is essential so avoiding it would be problematic (a lot of people with Hashimoto do this. I really don't think that this is a solution) It should get better after a while. I could imagine that it's actually a good, not a bad thing. How long have you had it? It's problably temporary.

My husband says I'm even hotter now than when we married. But that's probably not what you meant. And I wasn't vegetarian at the time.

Definitely. I used to find it very uncomfortable but now I love feeling " hot " and it feels live-giving.
