OK all, I keep hearing about all the great stuff you can get from this site but after a couple weeks of visiting daily I have yet to see much of anything actually in stock! Is there a trick to being able to actually ordering from them or a good time to find things in stock?

definitely sign up for the newsletter. it shows when they get meat in and what deals they are having.

I've ordered so much from them.

ditto what scottts saying. the liverwurst and braunschwager (no clue how to spell) are really good.

I've also order the bison filet (best filet of my life!) and ground beef. the beef stick snacks are also good for when you don't have time to cook. the one thing that sucked was their packaged wild salmon. god, that was gross and too expensive to taste so badly.

I've been buying from them for about a year now. Its true some of their more popular stuff does go out of stock. It seems like they'll be out of most everything in one type of meat, like out of stock on chicken, or beef. I've always been able to buy enough to stay stocked though.

I mostly buy beef which they seem to almost always have something of and I love their pork chops.

Its most horrible when they are out of stock on their Liverwurst. That stuff is a great way to get liver, kidney, and heart and it tastes pretty good.

There's no special trick I know of other than if you subscribe to their e-mails they will tell you about sales and restocking of items that were gone.

Big chicken restock and a general items restock coming up mid-September. As everything is hand-raised, they aren't constantly harvesting and processing animals, and a big drought pushed back the expected chicken harvest this summer.

Source: I read their newsletter and love ordering from them
