Need any feedback on room for improvement?

Hello Anyone? I have been following your supplements of Dave's stacks protocol and would appreciate any feedback your willing to give. To keep a long story short: I am diabetic type 2, have other autoimmune health problems, even though I have lost 65 lbs following BP diet for one year, my blood sugars are not within the normal ranges yet 120-160 ml averages throughout the day (I am still significantly overweight about 100 lbs to go!). It could be way better if I go back to shooting insulin, but I simply refuse and will continue to work on getting the numbers lower at this time my Alc is 6.7 which my doctor thinks is great (but I know better-grin my goal is to get it below 6.0). Here is my protocol:

Morning: BP coffee with all the usual fixings included, Green Paster Cod liver oil 1/2tsp, D3 5000iu, Selenium 200mg, Iodine + potassium 150mg, and Dave's probiotics 1/2tsp. Lunch: 1:00-2:00PM, low carb 15-20g, Vitamin C Crystals Ascorbic Acid 1.2tsp, Copper 2mg, Dinner: 5:30-6:30PM low carb 15-20g, Vitamin K-2 200mcg, Bedtime: Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium 500mg, 500mg, 99mg, Curamin PM 60mg

Walk 10000 steps or do Dr. Mercola's very slow evolution workouts 2x a week

Any other suggestions to improve weight loss would be greatly appreciated

Calcium can work against the Magnesium you are taking, so you may want to try a Mag Citrate or Mag Glycinate supplement instead and get your Potassium from Avocados. And you may need more D3 to raise your blood level. 5000 IUs is a maintenance dose for most folk.

Yes, I generally stop eating at 4, though I may have some decaf chai with heavy cream before bed.

I have been using Jawbone Up device and I am getting about 7.45hours of sleep with 4.15 hours of deep sleep?? I could do better in that area but I am very uncomfortable still with pain and body and probably higher sugar readings in the night :-( I use an Earthing mat, and take lots of Potassium/Mag/Cal supplement at bedtime.

You want a blood level of 60-80 ng /ml with auto-immune conditions. And how is your sleep?

5,000 IUs may not be enough for your current weight. You may want a blood level of 60-80 ng/ml while you are losing fat.

So my suggestion would be to change your eating window timing and see if it helps.

Gotcha. I am super sensitive to caffeine, but this is not true for everone. Stalls are normal as your hormones balance with the fat loss. What's working for me is eating high protein in the morning when hungry and once more in the late afternoon, stopping by 4pm. So usually I end up with a 6 hour eating window, like you.

The researchers gave the study participants identical packets of pills to take with breakfast and lunch for two days. One day’s pills contained the amount of caffeine present in four cups of coffee, while the other day’s pills were placebos (inactive pills). The participants did not know which pills they were taking on which days and did not consume any other caffeine during the study. I only drink 1.5 cup a day so no worries with coffee=grin.

What I am looking for is some tweeking with weight loss which has stalled for 2 months no weight gain just remaining the same. I wonder about high protien if that is problem or some need for supplements to help? Any suggestions will be considered :-).

Hi Dragonfly the BP coffee with high fats is the #1 reason why I have lost 65 lbs! It keeps me satiated till 2PM which is a 18 hour fasting have been doing this for year now and I have tested it several times it has no effect on my sugars. I DO have the dawn phenomonia effect which means my blood sugars upon awaking is high (140-170ml) but by 12 noon it drops significantly to 120ml which is very good and remains that level till bedtime around 140ml so somehow in my sleep the blood sugar readings go up!!! With still a significant weight of 100 lbs to lose its pretty normal this fluculation.

Caffeine can raise blood sugar in some folk (like me), so I would not recommend doing the BP coffee, since your blood sugar levels are not under control.
