If so, would you recommend it while on a paleo diet?

Thanks!

Thanks for your response. My blood sugars are much better when I do eat low carb though! I try to combine paleo with Dr. Bernstein diet and it works well for me. I began symlin this week and it's been working well with my low carb meals.

Beta cells make insulin and amylin. The symlin is the brand name. It is supposed to help with the after meal blood sugar spikes. My daughter is a type 1 too and I have considered giving it to her.

Hey just curious what is symlin and why do type1 diabetics use it? I am type1 and I have no idea what it is and why it would be needed.

Yes, you can still use symlin while eating paleo as long as you are eating enough carbs to take the dose. Pale is not a low carb diet, so you should be fine!
