Is turmeric (or anything else) helpful when you have a sty?

I have a sty and conjunctivitis. Besides that, I have some weird hard, red, swollen, sensitive areas on my nose and forehead. As you can imagine, I look like a million dollars right now.

The eye doctor prescribe drops (Zylet) and cream (Tobrex) but it doesn't seem to be going away. The sty is painful and it makes it almost impossible to work.

I sometimes take turmeric mixed in water. I know turmeric is anti-inflammatory. My question is, should I be taking a lot of turmeric because I'm sick, or would that be counter productive because I need the body's inflamation right now to combat whatever is making look and feel like a troll.

Anything else that can help make this go away?

Warm compress will help with the sty. My doc suggested a black tea bag to do the trick. Just make sure it's not too hot.

I've been dealing with a lot of red-eye lately and aspirin has been doing wonders for redness.
