Can I add additional water to a batch of beet kvass if it's too salty?

I notice that my batch is too salty. Can I add more water to it while it's in the middle of fermentation process?

(NOTE: In case anyone else missed the tag, the original poster is asking about beet kvass.)

I'd let it finish fermenting first.

I usually ferment the same beets twice (don't add salt to the second batch because you keep a little of the first batch in the fermentation jar). Then I mix the batches together and it's usually just right. If not, THEN you can add water.
