Excuse my ignorance but I just spoke to my doctor who said my thyroid was "optimal" and at 1.4. She said the ideal range is between 1-2.
I always thought I had a fast metabolism because I eat whatever I want and I really don't put on weight...that runs in my family, too. But I guess my metabolism isn't fast at all? Elsewhere I've seen people say that 1.4 is slow, or even close to the danger zone.
I guess I'm just confused. Can someone make sense of this for me?
