If you need some carbs in there (I do moderate carb myself), a sweet potato is a nice go to carb. its lower GI, and has good nutrients. Plus they can be pretty tasty. Every now and then I do a roast, with parsnip, carrot (both carby quite but low in them), onion and sweet potato and lamb :) Yum. But yeah, avoid the bread, don't go mad on the carbs, but if you do want some, all good, just stick to tubers, in reasonable portions. Also coconut oil will help you adapt quicker, and make sure there is a decent amount of fat in your diet (ie use fatty cuts of meat)

Not unless you make the bread with absolutely no grain flour or any flour not made from a starchy vegetable or legume - so no wheat/rye/barley/oat or any grain flour, no potato flour, no chickpea flour, no bean or pea flour of any kind. Nut flour, coconut flour ok.

Thank you! I am new at Paleo and no doubt am craving some bread. I do not cheat and don't want to at this stage.

You can eat it if you want. Typically however paleo is low carb, or moderate carb, and typically wheat is regarded as a "cheat" if you allow cheats. Its typical to have some carb cravings, particularly at the start. Initially, it takes your body a while to adjust. And by this I mean that their are epigenetic and metabolic changes, adaptions that actually occur, quite a bit of change there, so if your new to paleo, your probably adapting, and it might pay to avoid the carbs for a while longer, let your body adjust. If you do eat some, its not the end of the world either. Progress is progress.

Focaccia bread is not paleo. Certainly you can still eat it.

If you made it with something that wasn't grain. Try potato starch/flour.
