How to get thorough testosterone test done?

As I've written elsewhere, I'm on a mission to fix my diet and eliminate plastics to promote testosterone - my levels are within "normal" levels, but low-ish. I'd like to get tested to track my progress.

  • What bloodwork should be done for a thorough testosterone profile. Is total, free and SHBG sufficient?
  • What's a valid free testosterone testing method? According to wikipedia FAI is invalid.
  • Does short-term stress cause lowered testosterone? I'd like to get my bloodwork done in the US at one of the commercial labs on my next trip there since it's much cheaper than in Europe, but I'm afraid jetlag and the stress of the flight would cause dropped t-levels if I go get tested the next day.

Have you read this?

And I'm not an expert but I think travel and lack of sleep would effect your IGF and your testosterone. Perhaps get tested at the end of your trip when you have acclimated to the states?
