Getting rid of a cyst Without sharp pointy things

My boyfriend has a growing, sebaceous cyst on his back- on his shoulder blade near his armpit. He's been going to the gym lots lately and weight lifting. I read online somewhere that those cysts can be triggered by too much testosterone. He obviously wants to stick with his exercise regimen. He doesn't have health insurance so he's hesitant to go get it drained or taken out. Also we're leaving January 13 to be overseas for 3 months so we'd like to find a remedy soon. I read online that a hot heating pad twice a day may help it drain so he started doing that today. Anything else we can do? Any supplements or anything?

Keep applying warm compresses to it as often as possible back to back to back to back. The goal is to get it to come to a 'head' and burst, then you can clean it and apply some antibiotic ointment.

If that doesn't work, see if you can get to a Dr that will inject it with cortisol or a steroid which will shrink it immediately, or drain it if its huge.
