i just read mercolas recent articles about mercury fillings, root canals etc and how the act as an antannae for EMFs. i remember having "fillings" in when i was about 5-7 in singapore for school. i dont go to the dentist anymore. looking in the mirror, i only see white, no metal colours.

but i how would i know what the fillings were made of, if i had any(memory isnt good) or if they are toxic or not, preferably without needing to go to a dentist?

Remineralzation can work but it is self limited. I am currently researching which white fillings are best. Not sure yet. Fluoride release, no fluoride. Longest lasting, strongest. Many variables here!

What are the best "white" fillings? Could you please recommend any? What do you think of teeth remineralization, does it really work? Thanks.

Google the Paleo Physicians' Network. They do list dentists. Be wary of "biological dentists." I am getting some training in this area and am not sure if their approach is correct yet. Stay tuned. I am in the process of setting up skype consultations. Not there yet, though.

Those were likely on your baby teeth, made of ceramic, or have fallen out if you don't see them. No need to worry or bust out the tinfoil hats. And it is from Mercola, who's main goal in life is to be as sensationalist as possible to drive traffic to his site. My rule of thumb is to find other sources when he brings up something that seems interesting.

If your dentist knocked you out and when you woke up he had no pants.

As a dentist, often the "Toxic" effects of dental restorations are over stated. The mercury in silver fillings is not organic methyl mercury. (That said, you should not have one of these placed today. The debate is whether it needs removal.) White fillings and dental cements may contain fluoride. White fillings may contain BPA. I am currently in the process of finding out the BPA content of white fillings. Toxic is a word that is dose-dependent. Dental fillings are tested for to toxicity and seldom meet that threshold. The best medicine is prevention. Decay is caused by carbohydrates. Eating Carbohydrates are not required for life. Eliminate them from your diet and you will not ever get another cavity
