Why can't I poop regularly? Unusual color, too...

Before, I couldn't poop regularly and one night, my stomach felt so much pain and it would go away all of a sudden and then come back after a few hours. I told my grandmother so she decided I take medicine for ulcer for only two days. Then she decided that I should also drink tea at night so I would poop the next day. First, everything was going fine. Then, for the past few weeks, I noticed my poop was getting darker. Also, I don't poop a lot like I did before. Usually, there's just a few tiny pieces of black stool then my stomach wouldn't stop aching but I can't poop anymore... P.S. I think I drink enough amount of water and I also do some physical activities every night.

If you're 14, your chances of getting diverticulitis is slim to none. Do you eat any vegetables? If your main food intake is just rice and meat and no veggies, your fiber intake is VERY low. Mangos are great, but try to also incorporate other fruits and veggies in your diet. Also, if your stool is black, you should really see your doctor to get it checked out!

I usually eat a small amount of rice with meat, pork, or chicken. I usually eat soup as well and mangoes. Diverticulitis.. well, my stomach does feel bloated sometimes. I'm 14.

Grok also wasn't dealing with produce grown in over-farmed, magnesium depleted soils. I can only eat so much spinach throughout the week. :)

Dark poop could be a sign of a bleeding ulcer. Check out this site here. http://www.gutsense.org/constipation/normal_stools.html You may need the book! Also, the thread "Let's talk about... poop!" has some relevant information.

People can eat a completely meat diet with no vegies without constipation.

I think you need to give us a little more info. What do you normally eat in a day?

Also, do you think you have diverticulitis? That is characterized by constipation and tummy aches. I'm not sure how old you are, but older people who don't eat enough fiber usually get it.

Once you rule out a bleeding ulcer ...

Your old gut bacteria might not have been able to adapt to the new kinds of nutrition you gave it. Grok ate more dirt than we do and was exposed to way more bacterial diversity so his system could adapt to any dietary changes forced on him by his environment. Try a probiotic supplement with as many strains as possible. (12 to 15 if you can manage it) The new bacteria will adapt to this way of eating better. Double down on the dose and you'll be pooping again in no time! Change brands from time to time to get as wide a variety of strains as possible. More strains = more adaptable.

Don't get medical advice from strangers on an internet forum. Go to a doctor.

Somebody else here is going to tell you to take "Natural Calm". How much sense does that make that you have to take a mag supplement to make you crap? Do you think Grok had Natural Calm? You need to eat more carbs (fruit and potatoes, etc).

Try some dandelion-leaf tea (its everywhere, dry it first and then use 1 Tbsp/8 oz-add some peppermint which can support your painful tummy and digestion in general). Sounds like you have some dry-heat going on or worst case you could have an obstruction. Perhaps you need to visit your practitioner?

Take 500mg of magnesium.....or eat some sweet potatoes with the skin. Fruit will help too!! Are you eating salads? Ever since I started eating paleo 80% have had no issues in that dept. for the first time in my life!
